Petrobras informs about the signing of an addendum to the gas TCC signed with CADE

6 July 2024

Petrobras, in continuation of the Material Fact disclosed on May 22, 2024, informs that the Court of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense and Petrobras signed on this date an addendum to the Gas Cessation Commitment Term signed on July 8, 2019.

As reported by Petrobras, the addendum is the result of extensive debate between the technical areas of Petrobras and CADE and culminated in the termination of the obligation to divest TBG, within the scope of the TCC, and in the establishment of new commitments.

The Administrative Inquiries will remain suspended until the obligations are fully complied with, at which time they will be archived.

The term of validity of the obligations agreed upon in the Addendum to the Gas TCC coincides with the issuance of a certificate of independence to TBG or until March 4, 2039, the term provided for in art. 5, § 4, of the New Gas Law, which established this deadline as the limit for the deverticalization of transport companies.

Petrobras reaffirms its respect for the antitrust authority and the agreements signed, preserving the country's business environment.
